Brainless Kitty refers to an image of a cat that originates from an unknown source. It is also a meme on the SiIvaGunner channel.
History
Not much is known about the cat or its origins. The earliest known example of the image on the Internet comes from a Twitter user @hauntingez, posted on September 19, 2022, with the joke caption "face reveal"[1]. It depicts a frame from a video of the titular cat moving its head aimlessly. The origins of the video are unknown. Brainless Kitty is speculated to be an exotic shorthair breed, according to Google Lens' reverse search engine, and is likely of Russian origin.

Rips
Images and videos of Brainless Kitty are typically used on the SiIvaGunner channel through YTPMV-style screenflipping, accompanied by a stock fart sound effect.
The first appearance of Brainless Kitty on the SiIvaGunner channel was in the rip "Sweet Sweet Canyon (Beta Mix) - Mario Kart 8 Deluxe", uploaded during April Fools' Day 2023. This rip is a parody of "Sweet Sweet Canyon - Mario Kart 8 Deluxe", which replaced the latter's dog pictures with cat pictures, featuring the titular kitty as the first picture. Since then, the cat has appeared in a handful of rips, either as short visual gags or with the fart sound arranged/pitch-shifted to the track's melody.
At the start of Season 8 and especially during April Fools' Day 2024, Brainless Kitty had a resurgence in relevancy, even playing a major role in the rip "Take On Me but it's in the Super Mario 64 Soundfont (Music Video)", with "Evil Brainless" and "Nice Brainless" making appearances as characters in the rip's joke story. This would later lead into a story arc depicted throughout a series of rips, culminating in the Cotover event.
