History
"Rubber Band" was uploaded to YouTube on April 24, 2009, and would later be released on the album Slop on June 10, 2009. The song wouldn't receive much attention until early 2020, where it would be paired with an already circulating GIF of Hal Stewart dancing from Megamind and the caption "penis music", referencing the bizarre nature of the song, and go viral online on social media.

The first rip to feature the song, "Moonlight Battlefield - Aqua Road (Demo) - Sonic Forces", was uploaded on February 13, 2020, around a month after the meme's spread, and since then saw some use, mainly in the forms of mashups or arrangements using sounds or instruments from other games.
