Eggnog (also known as Egghead, or as Life Jacket Kid or Lifevest Kid by fans) is an image of a young black boy wearing a yellow life jacket. This image has become a meme on the SiIvaGunner channel.

Origins

According to toonlink, the name "Eggnog" originated from a friend of his, DatManOvaDer/InfiniteTatami. A mutual friend, Hedge, had posted a picture of himself at the beach during a voice call; much to their amusement, a funny-looking kid in a life jacket had ended up photobombing it. In response, DatManOvaDer said "eggnog headass", resulting in the inception of Eggnog.

The first Eggnog rip, "Maroon Valley - CrossCode", was initially made by DatManOvaDer exclusively for their private server, but toonlink wanted to upload it to SiIvaGunner. DatManOvaDer agreed to it, and then made additional Eggnog rips for the channel.

Most of the major Eggnog rips were in early-mid 2017, though he has made sporadic appearances since then.

Eggnog's first appearance was in a background joke in the January 2017 rip "A "Hard Day's Work" - Mr Rental: The Video Game". Starting in April of the same year, several rips featured Eggnog as a major character. Most of these rips have the same format: Eggnog appears over a white background as the teleporting sound effect from EarthBound plays. He gets closer, and a flashing, mutilated image of a celebrity's face suddenly appears, accompanied with the explosion sound effect from EarthBound. Afterwards, random unrelated jokes play. The exception to this is the "Lucy in the Sky with Dynamites" rip, where he jumps out of the screen from the darkness and vanishes.

In the second batch of rips from mid 2017, Eggnog appearances are not in the original format, and feature a bass-boosted version of "No Words" by Hopsin, similar to Green de la Bean, and the phrase "HOWIE DOIN", a reference to Howie Mandel's interview on The Eric Andre Show. After 2017, Eggnog mostly appears for brief gags in otherwise unrelated rips, with the notable exceptions of "Friends Puzzle Time - Kirby Star Allies", "Mysterious Crash - EarthBound", and "The Unforgiving Desert (Beta Mix) - EarthBound", throwbacks to the original early 2017 format.

• According to toonlink, he and Nape Mango are developing a story and game ideas for Eggnog. The project has two playlists on the SiIvaGunner channel, Eggnog: The Video Game and Egghead: The Video Game, and has a SoundCloud account.
• Eggnog (especially in the mid 2017 rips) is similar to Green de la Bean in that his appearance prompts a surreal jumpscare. However, Eggnog did not receive the same level of hate as the Bean did.
