- ―Wood Man
Wood Man is a boss from the Mega Man series and the personification of the "mm2wood" meme, and more generally the eponymous frequently-ripped "Wood Man Stage" track. On the SiIvaGunner channel, he was a prominent character in the channel's lore from Season 2 to Season 6, acting as the in-universe connection between the team and the channel's viewers and a mascot for the channel overall. At the end of Season 6, he disappeared and his role has since been filled in by The Joke-Explainer™ 7000.
Summary

Wood Man[1] (codename DWN-016) is a Robot Master from the Mega Man franchise, created by Doctor Albert W. Wily. He was designed by Masakatsu Ichikawa thanks to a character-design contest.[2] His theme song was composed by Takashi Tateishi.
First appearing as a boss in Mega Man 2, Wood Man subsequently became one of the most infamous Robot Masters in the series—although some part of his fame is somewhat ironic due to his seemingly lackluster "wood" attribute. Indeed, he was ranked last out of all the Robot Masters in a classment by MTV.[3] His main ability Leaf Shield[4] became one of Mega Man's trademark moves, appearing in games such as Marvel vs. Capcom and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
His catchphrase is the word "nice", followed the emoticon ">:]", representing his face. This was based on the comments section of the rip "Guitar Lesson - Rhythm Heaven", in which most of the comments consist only of "nice".[5] Within lore, Wood Man learnt the word from Michael Rosen.[6] The catchphrase started appearing on SiIvaGunner's Twitter during his first tenure as the channel's host on November 2016.[7]
History
Since The SilvaGunner Spooktacular Halloween Horror Special, Wood Man has appeared regularly in various videos and official material related to the channel.
Creation
On SiIvaGunner, Wood Man is represented by a crude Microsoft Paint drawing, drawn by SmokyThrill77,[8] as a representation of the "mm2wood" MIDI, which is a crude arrangement of "Wood Man Stage" from Mega Man 2. He made his first appearance on SiIvaGunner on October 19, 2016, when he was added to the channel's banner after the rip "Wood Man Stage - Mega Man 2" was uploaded. He then appeared on the album cover of GilvaSunner's Highest Quality Video Game Rips: Volume 7: Part mm2wood. He is supposedly the one responsible for "corrupting" the artist credits and song titles in albums, as referred to by SiIvaGunner in the description of "Title Theme & Ending - 7 GRAND DAD".
Wood Man took over the channel around Halloween 2016 for The SilvaGunner Spooktacular Halloween Horror Special. It was later revealed that he had been commended to do so by The Voice Inside Your Head to "keep the idea of [him] alive" while programming a way to bring him back into the real world, although all the rips uploaded were of Wood Man's initiative to entertain people. At the end of the event, Wood Man would upload "A Nice Announcement," announcing a new album; implying both that he was the uploader of said album, and that he was the 8-Bit Beast in a werewolf-esque transformation.
Wood Man had control of the YouTube and Twitter accounts of SiIvaGunner until November 30, 2016, using the Twitter account to post various statements about himself or his fellow Robot Masters. That day, he left to fight Mega Man.
During The SilvaGunner Christmas Comeback Crisis

Wood Man first appears as a cameo during the prologue, in which the aftermath of the Halloween event can be seen, with SiIvaGunner's house being redecorated to Wood Man's likeness.
In "Old Times," The Voice explains to him how he was born by accident when he uploaded "Main Theme (OST Version) - Mighty No 9" and explains the nature of Figments and Humans. The Voice reveals to Wood Man that he is a unique "hybrid" Figment able to achieve unique feats like passing from the digital world to the real world. The Voice then used Wood Man's code to transfer the Figments into the real world, where should they be killed will disappear forever. He orders Wood Man to kill Smol Nozomi, his nemesis. Although reluctant (as it is not a really "nice" thing to do) he still obeys as the Voice's creation.
When he tries to execute Nozomi in "Will of a Knight", he quickly realizes how glitched and ineffective he truly is, his Leaf Shield being utterly useless and his own arm falling down before he could even punch her. He retreats to the Voice's HQ and meets Robbie Rotten in "Haltmann" who tries to capture him with a net, mistaking him for a superhero on the run. Revealing that he actually is a villain, he proposes an alliance with Robbie to capture a real hero: Nozomi.
During the Monochrome Pause, Wood Man was once again in command of the channel, slowly uploading rips while searching for a way to unpause the channel without the Voice having any knowledge of it. He was later seen in "Loves the Ladies" watching Haruka Amami's performance as "Susie" with Robbie on a portable device.
On June 17, for the anniversary of the Reboot, Wood Man transported the channel through another timeline: the Genocide Ending, as explained in "Nice, Slick, Blackness - SilvaGunner: Rebooted." 3 days later, he uploaded rips featuring mm2wood and the "Wood Man" track for his own birthday, culminating in the "Wood Man Fusion Collab".[9][10]

In "Timbre of a Kazoo", it is revealed Wood Man can transform into a mecha-like form. He and Robbie use this form to try and capture Nozomi, Meta Knight, and Santa Claus. Santa ends up defeating the two and forcing them to surrender. They then leave, disappointed in their failure.
During 2017's Halloween event, Wood Man decided to make his own horror film starring himself and Takane Shijou. Traveling to the newly-created A.I. universe to film it, he was unable to market it in the Central Canon Continuum due to being rejected by President Haltmann, and so proceeds to market it in the A.I. universe where it becomes a smash hit. The filming of this movie results in the death of Protegent, and the accelerated development of the A.I. universe.
Season 3
The video "Wood Man & Robbie Rotten - A SilvaGunner Christmas Comeback Crisis Side Story" is uploaded to the channel on March 16, 2018. It is revealed that Wood Man is aware of the REAL world's time moving on, while he and the rest of the cast remain stuck in 2016. It is also revealed that he can escape the Christmas Comeback Crisis universe at any time, he just chooses not to, as he wants his friends to be free, too. Despite this, he would end up crossing over to the A.I. universe numerous times to interact with other worlds and characters.
He would make a brief appearance on the SiIvagunner Twitter account on April 20th to announce the streaming times of Chaze the Chat. On June 21, Wood Man celebrated his Debut 2nd Anniversary, where many of the rips uploaded this day featured mm2wood. A mysterious duo (assumed to be Wood Man and Takane Shijou) took control of the channel once more for 2018's Halloween event.
In "Comeback Crisis: The Lost Rip - A SiIvaGunner Christmas Comeback Crisis Side Story", Wood Man is summoned to the Nutshackwoodman34 version of The Central Canon Continuum by its version of the Voice to deal with SiIva's generation of Halloween Spirit. During his time in this universe, Wood Man is possessed by Halloween Spirit, which leads him to killing Robbie, and sees dying Voice in his office's floor. With the Voice's last words being to unplug SiIvaGunner from the Dream Machine, Wood Man heads to SiIvaGunner's house and enters a fight with a corrupted Grand Dad. He defeats Grand Dad, but is unable to safe Jerome, and comes across the possessed Figments in SiIvaGunner's bedroom.
In order to distract the Figments, Wood Man pulls Reader into the SiIvaGunner world and then quickly unplugs SiIvaGunner from the Dream Machine. After the Halloween Spirit from the dead figments combines into the 8-Bit Beast, he and Reader attempt to fight the beast, but are quickly defeated. Luckily, SiIvaGunner wakes up and saves the duo from the beast, though the former acts rudely towards at Wood Man for corrupting his albums' metadata. He then returns Reader to the Real World, while also leaving a note thanking him for his assistance.
As revealed in "My Last Stand (Funny Jojoke haHA) - A SiIvaGunner Christmas Comeback Crisis Side Story", Wood Man would then retreat to the Minecraft Universe, where he would build his own manor and wrote his thoughts down inside a book.
Wood Man would appear on Twitter on January 2, 2019 to announce various scheduling and events pertaining to SiIvagunner's 2019 MAGfest appearance. Following a near two-month hiatus after SiIvagunner's termination, the final videos of Season 3 began releasing, with Wood Man making a comment on the rip Google Stadia Startup - Console BIOS/Startup Fanfare, stating that the real finale video for Season 3 would release soon.
Season 4-6
On April 21, 2019, Wood Man is contacted by Reader and President Haltmann to assist them in resurrecting the figments that died during "Comeback Crisis: The Lost Rip". After being succesfully summoned, he once again pulls Reader inside of the SiIva world and then joins the others in a rital to ressurrect The Voice. As SiIvaGunner's awakening robbed their access his computer, Wood Man joins the others in a heist to steal it. During this heist, Wood Man ignores the plan and barges into SiIva's house while the latter was still asleep. While Haltmann was attempting to hacking SiIva's computer, Wood Man accidentally triggered the PC's burrito firewall after talking about burritos with Haltmann.
When the other figments retain their Halloween Spirit corruption upon revival, he uses his portals to travel to Easter Island with the others in an attempt to obtain the Easter Spirit needed to cure the corruption. On Easter Island, Wood Man used his status as a tree to squeeze gum out of his loins, as the Moai would only give them access to Easter Bunny HQ if the party gave him gum. When the Easter Bunny refuses to hand the Easter Spirit over to the party, Wood Man snaps the rabbit's neck and steals the Easter Spirit.
He and the others then returned to Grandiose City and he used the stolen Easter Spirit to cure Donkey Kong, which results in a fight breaking out between the party and the corrupted figments. During this fight, Wood Man saves Reader from the corrupted Grand Dad and cures him from his corruption. After the crew cured all of the corrupted figments, Wood Man attends a pizza party with the others before reviving Jerome as a figment to thank Reader for helpting them. He then returns Reader and Jerome to the real world and leaves another note showing his graditude towards Reader.
Some time after Easter 2019, Wood Man acted as the representative of the SiIvagunner channel in a civil lawsuit against Sony Entertainment Music. His lawyer, John Notwoodman, is able to win over Sony's lawyer, Phoenix Wright. On June 21, "Wood Man Stage (Birthday Mix) - Mega Man 2" is uploaded to celebrate Wood Man's 3rd anniversary.

In The SilvaGunner Spooktacular Halloween Horror Special: Part III, Wood Man invites a number of characters to his mansion where a murder occurs. It is eventually revealed that John Notwoodman staged the murder, and attempted to frame the real Wood Man as the 8-Bit Beast as revenge for the latter outbidding him during the auction for the mansion. After the conclusion of the King For Another Day Tournament, Wood Man reconciles with Notwoodman before he makes a promise to return to the CCC.
Despite his promise, Wood Man would continue to spend the next 3 years of his life inside the AI Universe, hosting various large events and directing more movies.
On June 18, 2020, Wood Man would host the SiIvaSummer All-Star Festival, with the rip "Wood Man (Birthday Mix) - Mega Man 8" uploaded to celebrate Wood Man's 4th Anniversary. He released an audio drama called Woodyana Stones: Raider Made of Lost Bark alongside a series of compilation albums, in which the full audio drama was uploaded to the channel on September 2. The success of Wood Man's Summer Festival would encourage the SiIva A.I. to create his own Winter festival later in the year.

Wood Man would return once again for his 5th Anniversary event on June 21, 2021. A month later he would debut his newest movie titled "Legends of the Western Sunset," coinciding with the All-Star Summer Festival 2021 and many of the events featured during that time. He is later called upon by Takane Shijou during the 2021's Halloween Special to help prevent the Fallen Angel from conducting a demonic ritual, driving in the Wood Van alongside Shijou, Yoshiko Tsushima, and HOBaRT. Wood Man is also present during the Holiday Celebration in 2021.
Following Wood Man's 6th anniversary event in 2022, he hosts a Halloween Party with David S. Pumpkins on October 26.
The Disappearance of Wood Man

During the SiIvaGunner All-Star Nuclear Winter Festival, a meteor crashes into what seems to be the city from the 2020 Winter Festival, plunging the area into a nuclear winter. Wood Man attempts to locate the impact point, aided by the Joke-Explainer™ 7000 replica and Geno as they traverse the barren wastes together. He keeps a travel log regarding their various travels, eventually reaching the meteor. They soon realize they are unable to identify what the object is, and unable to leave the site of the meteor due to every direction leading back to it. The Joke-Explainer suddenly loses control of herself upon recalling Geno's memories of touching the meteor prior, so to protect the Joke-Explainer and to fulfill her wish of "archiving everything from the world before it's too late," Wood Man deletes her memories of the past few days and experiences the memories himself, in which he sees "a perfect black sphere hanging in space." Realizing both he and the meteor "do not belong in the A.I. universe," Wood Man returns to the site of the meteor and decides to touch it, reassuring the Joke-Explainer that, though he probably won't die, he needs to take care of "unfinished business," and that they may never meet again. Wood Man asks the Joke-Explainer to "never forget him."
In "The Disappearance of Wood Man," he reflects on the past 7 years of his existence, while coming to terms with his torture of being stuck in a time loop for 7 years, his guilt over not being able to find a solution to fix the time loop for a long time (and continuously putting it off), and his fears of what his old friends, including Robbie Rotten, would think of him after this long. Expressing his desire to figure out a solution once and for all, Wood Man steps away from the channel to "have a good, long think."
It is later revealed in The Silva AI Timeline: A Summary of Events that the nuclear winter was caused by the events of One Last Chance, in which the SiIva A.I. was destroyed and overloaded with commands to the point of shutdown, relegating the A.I. universe into a state of perpetual night. During The 2023 Halloween Event, Takane Shijou is seen searching for a now-missing Wood Man in New Engrand, before stumbling onto the Cult of Proto.
Susie Haltmann, who recently regained cognizance after the death of her father in the CCC, set out to search for Wood Man and request his aid in the final showdown against The Voice. With help from the viewers, Susie arrives to the void Wood Man is residing in, leading to "The Meeting". Susie discovers that Wood Man's has sunken into a far worse mental state, believing that no one in his universe needs him. Wood Man tries to feign apathy, claiming that he's tapped out, but Susie sees through the facade, telling him that avoiding the problem has trapped him in an endless cycle.
Wood Man reveals that he learned about the SiIva A.I.'s sentience, and how, unlike him, he had never strayed from his responsibilities even if his work was never acknowledged. Wood Man believes that simply being there isn't enough to justify him running from his problems for so long. He wants to find a "magic solution" to fix everything, but he hasn't found it. Wood Man relents, saying that he's a failure, wishing that he didn't care. Susie comforts Wood Man, stating that the "magic solution" doesn't exist, and that it's okay to let go of the reins and rely on the help of others. Susie makes her final plea, and disappears, leaving Wood Man to contemplate what to do next.
