The sixty-fourth anniversary of the founding of Sanrio was celebrated with a channel event on the SiIvaGunner channel in 2024.

Summary

All rips uploaded during this event featured songs or games associated with characters from Sanrio.

The avatar was changed to depict The Joke-Explainer™ 7000 dressed as, and drawn in the style of, Hello Kitty. The banner was first changed to depict the lighthouse drawn in the Sanrio art style in a wooded landscape with a blue sky and a rainbow, with various Sanrio characters as SiIvaGunner characters in front of it:

Later in the day, the banner was changed to one with the following differences:

  • The sky is a pink gradient.
  • Instead of a rainbow, two hearts are in the sky.
  • The characters have been replaced with the following:
    • Fenneko from Aggretsuko
    • Boshy from I wanna be the Boshy, referencing Hello Kitty's appearance in said game
    • Big Challenges
    • Yoshikitty
    • The Voice Inside Your Head's appearance from "Level 974 (Kitty's House) - Escape the Backrooms"
    • Jazmin Bean from the music video for "Hello Kitty"
    • Hello Kitty from I wanna be the Boshy
    • Avril Lavigne from the music video for "Hello Kitty"
    • My Melody from Tomotoru: Hello Kitty Happy Life
    • Baku
    • Kuromi from Onegai My Melody
    • Retsuko from Aggretsuko

The banner was changed back to the first banner on August 11.

The catchphrase was changed to "You can never read too many channel descriptions!", referencing Hello Kitty's catchphrase "You can never have too many friends!".

The featured video and channel trailer were changed to "Title Theme - Hello Kitty to McDonald de Asobo!". They were later changed to "Techno - Hello Kitty: Happy Party Pals", then again to "Main Theme - Pocket Hello Kitty" on the upload of said rip.

Poll

At 8:00 AM PST, it was announced through a YouTube community post and Twitter post that the channel would be holding a community ranking of the Sanrio characters included in the channel banner.[1][2] At 12:00 PM PST the next day, the results of the poll were shown with Kuromi in first, Little Twin Stars in second, and Keroppi in third.[3][4]
