John Notwoodman is a minor character in the SiIvaGunner lore. He plays major roles in the King for a Day series, where he is the host, as well as in A Murder Not Too Nice. He shares a strikingly similar appearance with Wood Man, with the only distinguishing feature being the green mustache on his face.

In videos where he is given a speaking role, he is voiced by Hinchy.

King for a Day Tournament

During the King for a Day Tournament, John Notwoodman acted as the host of the event, where he would provide the viewers with useful information about it (such as how the tournament would work, how to submit rips, etc.) on both YouTube and Twitter.

His main appearance was in the "Vote Responsibly!! (How to Vote)" rip. During the tournament finale, his theme song "Theme of John Notwoodman" was uploaded as a secret unlisted rip, and included in the OST as a secret bonus track. Although, suspiciously, his theme is just "mm2wood" with different instruments.

The SilvaGunner Christmas Comeback Crisis

In "Unusual Circumstances - A SiIvaGunner Christmas Comeback Crisis Side Story", a Christmas Comeback Crisis fanfiction written by Nutshackwoodman34, John Notwoodman acts as Wood Man's lawyer during the trial against Sony Entertainment Music Japan. However, whenever John Notwoodman appears, Wood Man is missing, which leads Sony's lawyer Phoenix Wright to believe that Wood Man and Notwoodman are the same person.

In "One Last Chance", John Notwoodman appears on the screens in the background next to Nick Lushwood, a character designed by yhenestik as a romantic partner for John. Although Nick has yet to make a proper appearance on the channel, the appearance confirms the pairing.^[1]^[2]^[3]

A Murder Not Too Nice

In Episode 3, John was revealed to be the mastermind behind Jeff the Killer's attempted murder of Wood Man. After Jeff is discovered, he proudly admits to sending the initial invitations to the mansion, murdering Protegent's brother and framing Wood Man, then trapping Wood Man in the basement. When that plan failed, Notwoodman guided Jeff to frame Wood Man as being the Beast.

This plan was motivated by jealousy over Wood Man successfully outbidding him over the mansion, which he was especially dead-set on due to his passion for Eddie Murphy's The Haunted Mansion. Not only would murder make him the highest bidder again, he reasoned, it would also decrease the price of the mansion.

However, his plan was foiled by the meddling C-list memes, and Wood Man turned Notwoodman over to the police.

In the post-credits scene, Nutshackwoodman34 discovers that John had secretly been stashing all the Halloween rips from the 2017 and 2018 Halloween events into an album, even though he wasn't introduced as a character until 2018.

King for Another Day Tournament

For the King for Another Day Tournament, he first had a brief appearance in Unregistered HyperCam 2's reveal trailer, "hi utub im back". We see a conversation with him and HyperCam, in which John Notwoodman offers HyperCam to be the next host. From this point it was revealed that HyperCam would be the host of the new tourney instead of John Notwoodman, as well as being a co-interviewer with Meowth.

However, despite both this conversation and being arrested for conspiracy to commit murder after that, Notwoodman comes back as the host of "SiIvaGunner: King for Another Day Tournament Overview: CHOOSE YOUR CHARACTER!", also stating that he's "the CEO of King for a Day Tournament Enterprises" and that they "got a pretty good legal team over here", although he still has some paperwork to fill out, so he has Hinchy and wolfman1405 narrate the section covering character source lists.

In the tournament itself, Notwoodman continued to announce the matches and crown the winner, and received the arrangement "Vote Responsibly!!".

In "Credits - SiIvaGunner: King for Another Day", Notwoodman made amends with Wood Man, and encouraged him to return to Grandiose City to help his friends.

The SiIvaGunner All-Star Nuclear Winter Festival

As revealed in The Susie ARG, during the events of the SiIvaGunner All-Star Nuclear Winter Festival, John Notwoodman took the opportunity to finally move into the haunted mansion, where Protegent's brother attempted to haunt him to no effect.

According to the video description of "Eff Ayy Cee Kay - SiIvaGunner: King for Another Day", John can play the saxophone.
John Notwoodman and his relation to Wood Man may be inspired by Kingsonnn Dededoo from the webcomic Brawl in the Family. Kingsonnn Dededoo is an original character that bears great resemblance to King Dedede, but is in fact not related to him at all.
John accepts any pronouns in relation to himself, as stated in a tweet by SmokyThrill77.^[4]
