Susie, full name Susanna Patrya Haltmann,[1] is a character from Kirby Planet Robobot and the daughter and assistant of President Haltmann. She is a supporting character in The SilvaGunner Christmas Comeback Crisis.
History
Christmas Comeback Crisis
In The SilvaGunner Christmas Comeback Crisis, The Voice Inside Your Head forced Haltmann to work under him by claiming he could reunite the two (although it wasn't specifically mentioned why they were separated in the first place).
Susie was mentioned a few times starting with "No Place To Hide", but the situation wasn't directly addressed until "Loves the Ladies". In an attempt to avoid conflict, the Voice tried to fool Haltmann by masquerading Haruka Amami as Susie. He forced Haruka to perform the song "The Noble Haltmann" in a Susie disguise, which Haltmann immediately recognized as a ruse and thus decided to ursurp the Voice, which became the channel's status quo for six years until the release of "One Last Chance".
It would later be revealed that, prior to "Loves the Ladies", the Voice tried summoning Susie using the Figment Transportation Device, but due to her Figment being too similar to that of Haltmann's, as well as Haltmann's characterization revolving around being separated from her, she could not be summoned, leading to the Voice using Haruka instead.
In "One Last Chance", Susie's first true appearance comes with Haltmann's death. However, it was not clear that this was an actual physical appearance of her at the time.
e∩Ω
Susie plays a minor role in the e∩Ω arc, warning the Numberphile of his death via e-mail. After he does die, Gegagedigedagedago and the other Omegas look through Numberphile's computer, seeing Susie's e-mail, as well as 9S' thank you message to Eggnog. With help from the audience, the Omegas send the e-mail back in time to Eggnog. Susie e-mails them back, thanking them for their help and encouraging Gegagedigedagedago, stating that Numberphile can still be saved and there is a chance for forgiveness and new beginnings.
The Susie ARG
Over the course of 2024, Susie tried desparately to establish a connection to the channel, allowing herself to regain a tangible form temporarily. Her efforts culminated in the 12/19 SiIva Direct, where she started her own ARG, giving players access to the Haltmann Works Co. Internal Database Portal. The Susie ARG began. Susie was unable to speak on her own, only using snippets from dialogue and rip titles to give out hints. After Part 1 of the ARG is completed, the community solving the puzzles allows for Susie to take full form once more. She puts the ARG on hold, planning on resting for the rest of the holiday season.
Susie reappears with the video "Let's discuss business.". Retelling the scene in "One Last Chance" from her point of view, it is revealed that Haltmann's desire to see her was so strong in that moment that she was able to briefly materialize. Now given a new chance at life, Susie plans on finding Wood Man, and convincing him to return, but she needs the audience's help. By solving the ARG, the audience could create a bridge across the SiIvaGunner lore, allowing Susie to pinpoint Wood Man's location. After the release of this video, Susie briefly became the host of the channel until the end of the ARG. In a community post, she noted that she doesn't actually have a physical form and is performing her takeover through sheer willpower.
Over the course of ARG, Susie chats with both the community and Joke-Explainer. She longs to come back to life, and to able to play the piano again, introspects on how wrong and inefficient Haltmann's "rule with an iron fist" mentality was, and her sadness over the fact he and her father were doomed to never be together. During her talks with the Joke-Explainer, she encourages her to rest, due to her low-power being unable to keep up with a constant overload. Eventually, the ARG completed, and Wood Man is found.
In "The Meeting - A SiIvaGunner Christmas Comeback Crisis Side Story", Susie confronts Wood Man, who had not been seen since his disappearance, to attempt to convince him to return to the channel. However, he refuses and they both become frustrated. After Wood Man explains how he feels about the situation, Susie empathizes with him, understanding how it feels to want ti carry everything on your own shoulders. She encourages Wood Man to let go of the reins, putting faith in his friends and that it's enough to be there for them in their time of need. Once she finishes her plea, she fades away, leaving Wood Man to contemplate what he has to do next.
