Burnice vs. KSI was a channel event on the SiIvaGunner channel dedicated to "Burning Desires" and "Thick Of It". It occurred on July 4, 2025, the first anniversary of the release of Zenless Zone Zero.

Theme

The event as a whole references the similar negative receptions of "Burning Desires" and "Thick Of It", and how the two songs were compared with each other on social media in 2024 after the former was released. It also likely references the rip "Burning Desires - Zenless Zone Zero", the first rip to feature "Burning Desires" which has been referenced several times since its upload.

After the release of the rip "A Dance of Fire and Ice [Rabbit ver.] - A Dance of Fire and Ice", the avatar was changed to artwork of The Joke-Explainer™ 7000 dressed as Burnice White in the style of the music video for "Burning Desires", while the banner was changed to remove Dr. Andonuts and replace all the characters in the lighthouse with characters from the Sons of Calydon, the faction in Zenless Zone Zero that Burnice is a member of, except for Burnice herself. Thirty minutes later, following the release of "A Dance of Fire and Ice [Spooky ver.] - A Dance of Fire and Ice", the banner was updated again with the following changes:

The characters in the lighthouse were replaced with "Baldski" (an image of KSI with his head shaved bald) on the left, and an official doodle of Burnice on the right.
To the left of the lighthouse, the banner was colored blue with snow added on top, and images of mostly members of the Sidemen were added, with a larger image of KSI from the music video of "Thick Of It" added in the far left. From left to right:

Rips uploaded

All rips uploaded on this day were related to either Burnice or KSI, mostly by featuring "Burning Desires" and "Thick Of It" respectively, and alternating between the two each hour, with rips simultaneously related to both also being uploaded in the second half of the day. Rips were initially uploaded hourly, then every 30 minutes after 12 hours, then every 15 minutes after the next 7 hours.

Three different catchphrases were used during the event:

Rips related to Burnice used "I'll make you read the channel description, that's my desire.", referencing the lyrics of "Burning Desires".
Rips related to KSI used "Come in close and look at the channel description, sponsored by Prime™!", referencing "I Like My Cheese Drippy, Bruh" and the drink brand Prime co-founded by KSI.
Rips related to both sources used "Proxy, come in close and look at the channel description, sponsored by Nitro-Fuel™!", a modified version of KSI's catchphrase with elements from Zenless Zone Zero.
