Jokes
This rip is primarily a mashup between the advertised track and "Snow halation". At 0:51 and 3:10, Rob Thomas is sentence-mixed to sing "Snow halation" with the end of the verse changed to "Man it's a hot one, cause you're so smooth". At 1:03, 2:27, and 3:11, the guitar is pitch-shifted to the vocal melody of "Snow halation", the vocals are also added during the first two appearances. At 2:15 and 3:22, "Smooth Criminal" by Michael Jackson is mashed up with the the advertised track, referencing "Smooth" by Neil Cicierega. At 2:48, the guitar is pitch-shifted to the bridge of "Snow halation". At 4:02, a sample of "It's been" from "One Week" by Barenaked Ladies plays right before "Snow halation" ends, another reference to "Smooth" by Neil Cicierega.
The visual takes on the format for character-dedicated "Snow halation" rips, with μ's' stage, animated snow, and a relevant character, in this case Rob Thomas from the "Smooth" music video and Santana. Throughout Santana is animated whenever the guitar of "Smooth" plays. Throughout, other visual elements appear:
- At 0:52 and 3:11, Rob Thomas is replaced with a different frame from the music video, to go with the sentence-mixing, and also slowly rises.
- At 1:03 and 2:27, Rob Thomas is replaced with Honoka Kousaka to go with the "Snow halation" vocals.
- At 1:14 and 2:37, the "Smooth" music video appears over.
- At 2:15 and 3:22, Michael Jackson appears to go with the "Smooth Criminal" vocals.
- During the bridge, the "Snow halation" music video appears over.
- At 3:11, the stage's lights turn yellow.
- At 4:02, Ed Robertson, co-founder of Barenaked Ladies, appears to go with the "One Week" sample.
