This is a full arrangement of "Replay" by Iyaz using the advertised track's instruments, while quoting elements from the advertised track throughout the rip.
Trivia
- The mix name is a reference to a creepypasta based on the theory that every copy of Super Mario 64 is personalized, and that there exists a cursed beta version of the game from July 29, 1995. It was also uploaded on the same day as the large leak of Super Mario 64.
- eg_9371 has noted that this ended up to be a coincidence, as the rip was made before the leak had happened.[1]
- This is currently the second-most viewed rip of Season 4 Episode 2, only behind "Great Days Fusion Collab".
- This is also the most viewed "Slider" rip, having surpassed "Slider - Super Mario 64" in 2022.
- This is the 39th rip to have surpassed one million YouTube views. The milestone was reached on October 26, 2021.[2]
Reception
Around August 2020, a short video of Mario's sprite from Super Mario RPG imitating a dance from Club Penguin with the caption "you just got hey stinky'dd!!" (and Mario saying "hey stinky" beforehand, respectively), with this rip playing whilst Mario was dancing began being spread across several media platforms, turning the rip itself memetic.
