• Jingle Bells (there's already a proposal about this but it's worth mentioning here I think)

These sources aren't connected to the channel in any meaningful way. They're only used as much as they are as a result of being popular Christmas music.

i agree but yeah i feel like the categories should stay and only the pages should be cut because they still have a lot of uses so they would kinda flood the list of references pages otherwise lol

For the record, I do not see Jingle Bells as a SiIvaGunner meme.

However.

I am not the only one concerned about the size of the Jingle Bells list if it has to be maintained as a list instead of a category. Even if you wanted to make Jingle Bells a special case of a category existing for a non-meme... well, we cannot remove the Jingle Bells page anyway, because it is a frequently ripped track. So what is even the point of this?

Yes, we did revoke meme status and categories (pending) from Undertale frequently ripped tracks but really I am not sure if that was the right move there either, especially for Once Upon a Time, which has the same amount of uses as Jingle Bells.

If we kill frequently ripped track articles, then sure, this would be an easy cut. But right now gatekeeping this is just pointless.

I don’t necessarily agree with this whole argument, though. I think this is saying that there is no point of revoking Jingle Bells’s status as a meme if the page can’t be removed, which I disagree with. I might be misunderstanding, though.
