"Ending - The Terrible Whiteness of Appalachian Nights" is a high quality rip of the track "Ending" from The Terrible Whiteness of Appalachian Nights.
Jokes
The rip starts out normally with a single note that repeats over and over. At 0:09, several glitchy and distorted sounding 8-bit buzzing sounds are heard, just like those that can be found in the original game. At 0:59, the note is changed to briefly play the melody of "London Bridge is falling down". At 1:12, the note is changed to play "Eight Melodies" from EarthBound Beginnings/MOTHER.
Trivia
- This rip had a now-removed comment (due to the SiIvaGunner Termination) by SiIvaGunner that reads "This was reuploaded because of ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓". The main difference between the two uploads is that the original image and thumbnail used for the rip came from the thumbnail of "Let's Play: The Terrible Whiteness of Appalachian Nights" by Cool Dr Money.[2][3]
- The comment being blacked out as well as the distorted and unsettling nature of this rip is a reference to SiIva's unstable state during the reboot.
- Originally, the catchphrase in the description read "There's nothing to do but sleep." which is a reference to a line that comes from the original game. It was later changed to the current description later that day, which comes from a different line from the game.
