"An Ending - Undertale" was a high quality rip of "An Ending" from Undertale.

Jokes

The rip imitates the neutral endings of Undertale, where the advertised track plays. These are generally an extended dialogue from Sans who called you on the phone, but sometimes hands it over to other characters. In this rip, he immediately hands the phone over to SiIvaGunner.

SiIvaGunner then goes on to discuss the death of Green de la Bean and how it affected him. This is written like a non-pacifist neutral route ending from the game, which generally guilt-trip players for their actions. In this case, SiIvaGunner blames the viewers for the Bean's death.

In addition to serving as the conclusion to Bean Mourning Day, the rip serves the serious purpose of pointing out how the people who flagged Bean rips put the channel at the risk of being terminated again.

The advertised track is actually unedited, save for the Sans dialogue noise before the track and the fade out at the end.

History

This rip was originally uploaded on the SiIvaGunner channel on September 11, 2016, serving as the finale for Bean Mourning Day, then was removed later that day alongside all rips uploaded for the 9/11 2016 event. According to Chaze the Chat, the reason for its removal was due to the SiIvaGunner team regretting making it.[1] The rip was later reuploaded to Flustered Fernando on September 12.

Trivia

  • The video's catchphrase is a reference to the dialogue boxes in Undertale, where dialogue starts with an asterisk.
