Rickhenrique - Create a meme article and category for "MARIO BROTHERS MOVIE (https://siivagunner.fandom.com/wiki/User:Rickhenrique/MARIO_BROTHERS_MOVIE)" by Maerwynn (see also: Draft category (https://siivagunner.fandom.com/wiki/User:Rickhenrique/MARIO_BROTHERS_MOVIE_category) and Google Sheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RP6iPwBpAOCbioPzhyiePhMavYkztWIufE4bvCF_e_M/edit?usp=sharing)) TurretBot - Add a warning template for ongoing channel events, similar to WP:Wikipedia:Current event templates (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Current_event_templates) TechnCheese - Create a navbox for Pixar, and separate it from the Disney navbox (https://siivagunner.fandom.com/wiki/Template:Navbox_series_Disney) TurretBot - embed YouTube videos on all rip and video pages using either this (https://siivagunner.fandom.com/wiki/User:TurretBot/Snowball_Park_(Beta_Mix)_-_Super_Mario_3D_World) or this (https://test-123.fandom.com/wiki/Snowball_Park_(Beta_Mix)_-_Super_Mario_3D_World) layout

Rickhenrique - Create a meme article and category for "MARIO BROTHERS MOVIE (https://siivagunner.fandom.com/wiki/User:Rickhenrique/MARIO_BROTHERS_MOVIE)" by Maerwynn (see also: Draft category (https://siivagunner.fandom.com/wiki/User:Rickhenrique/MARIO_BROTHERS_MOVIE_category) and Google Sheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RP6iPwBpAOCbioPzhyiePhMavYkztWIufE4bvCF_e_M/edit?usp=sharing))
- 23:02: Rickhenrique: Alrighty!
- 23:02: Rickhenrique: In short thing for this topic, is for to make "MARIO BROTHERS MOVIE" by Maerwynn as the channel meme, for motives of reasons:
- - The video has reached over 25 rips featured.
- - It often associated with Whine Up and TiK ToK, with the former being used a lot as the main premises to reference "MARIO BROTHERS MOVIE".
- - It's been frequently referenced during 2023, as well now or days thanks to the popularization of "Whine Up" on the channel.
- - Itself is a pretty popular meme within the ripping channels / fan channels like TTGD, VaVr, and MarioGunner. With mostly often been consider as a SiIvaGunner channel meme.
- How it would be formatted in regards of which rip features "MARIO BROTHERS MOVIE"?
- - It has to included either a direct/indirect pairing of "TikTok Up The Dancefloor" (with the indirectly is mostly by the video's sound effects and other musics used to paired Whine Up/TiK ToK/Evacuate the Dancefloor). As well if it actually features the actual song in the rip.
- - Usages of the sound effects seen in the original video.
- - Images/illustrations of the cake in the oven comic series.
- Rips that doesn't included a pairing (with the major example being a single rip that references "Whine Up") wont count. However, it's debatable if included few of them that mostly only features "Whine Up (Oh!/Oh Yeah!)" lines, due to obvious reasons.
- Why to even consider this as a channel meme?
- Is due to having some relevancy over the channel, noticebility within the community, and as well for how much frequently it was on Season 7. Not to mention of the major usages of Whine Up on the channel, in which firstly appeared thanks to MARIO BROTHERS MOVIE.
- The overdebate in regards of what counts MARIO BROTHERS MOVIE is also been almost a heavy known topic in this wiki community, and I decided to organize it within the playlist and the Google Sheet over the major usages that directly references the track.
- TLDR: The meme has been major relevancy and very used on 2023, as well noticeble referenced as the channel's meme by the community and popularized by the fan channels after it's used on the channel; specially MarioGunner.
- And to answer one question: it's best to consider "TikTok Up The Dancefloor" track as part of "MARIO BROTHERS MOVIE" meme instead of separating them, and consider to making page of the tracks that was mashuped in it (TiK ToK, Whine Up, and Evacuated the Dancefloor). The usage of the track is also very apparent meant to reference the video itself anyways, specially for the major usages of the sound effects.
- TLDR: "TikTok Up The Dancefloor" will be counted as a "MARIO BROTHERS MOVIE" rip instead of been counted separatelly, and the tracks that was mashuped will have separated pages instead. (TiK ToK, Whine Up, and Evacuated the Dancefloor)

- 23:02: Pokemonfreak777: ill give you guys a few minutes to read everything
- 23:02: Pokemonfreak777: also related decision from SiIvaGunner Wiki:Moot/2024 May 11
We will set a rule that: If jokes related to MARIO BROTHERS MOVIE meet the meme criteria, when the pages are created they may be connected together in some form, via the use of a section mentioning their usage in MBM as well as related pages being included on a See Also section. This will also apply to a main MARIO BROTHERS MOVIE page as well in the future if that reaches the criteria as well. (5-2-0)
- 23:09: Mick the Squirrel: memes like this are frustrating to define
- 23:09: Mick the Squirrel:
- - multisource
- - usage of a song in reference to its usage in fan media
- - some uses of a subsource have nothing to do with the main idea
- 23:10: Rickhenrique: Yeah, but in case of MBM is more or less defined on what is mostly meant to reference in question
- 23:10: Spottygamester: Just saying quickly that I won't be able to discuss my pitch today, so you can skip that one if you reach it.
- 23:10: TurretBot:
- - i stand by my previous stance from the may 11 moot that mario brothers movie is not "featured", it is "referenced" indirectly, similar to other ones like wii shop bling or athletic doctor, which are not considered memes (?)
- - the draft article by rick renhrique should not be used because it is poorly written
- 23:11: Rickhenrique: I mean
- You dont have to, I just need a little hand in case of fixing the grammar
- 23:11: Rickhenrique: Also, is an odd shape in consideration, because mbm, while sometimes referenced, it is also featured thanks to...their sound effects
- 23:12: Pokemonfreak777: i think the source could make more sense as a "rips referencing" category, akin to athletic doctor and wii shop bling. but i think it could potentially pass as a meme too
- 23:12: TurretBot: would we create both a rips featuring category and a rips referencing category?
- 23:13: Mick the Squirrel: Rips Referencing categories are awkward
- 23:13: Pokemonfreak777: [in reply to: TurretBot: - i stand by my previous stance from the may 11 moot that mario brothers movie is not "featured", it is "referenced" indirectly, similar to other ones like wii shop bling or a...] yeah i agree with the first point. the second point can be resolved by just fixing the article or adapting it into a new article
- 23:13: Rickhenrique: ^
- 23:13: Rickhenrique: About the first point, is just an odd shape really, considering how the rippers reference it
- 23:13: Rickhenrique: I know that few categories also uses the whole "mentioned" and "indirected reference" as also counting as featured too, in which can give...something about it
- 23:15: Pokemonfreak777: [in reply to: TurretBot: would we create both a rips featuring category and a rips referencing category?] i assume we would probably choose one or the other
- 23:15: Rickhenrique: I assume the best way would be a rips featuring, but that's more on me
- 23:15: Rickhenrique: Because of the whole sound effects usages
- 23:16: Pokemonfreak777: that is true. sometimes the sound effect is directly used without referencing any of the other songs
- 23:17: Rickhenrique: That
- 23:17: Rickhenrique: As well as the visuals
- 23:17: Rickhenrique: Doesnt mean I cant agreed with the using the referencing category
- Is just that wouldnt make sense in the context of how it was used
- 23:18: Pokemonfreak777: i mean the category "Rips referencing Athletic Doctor" does include instances where the actual rip is just used, so there is precedence there
- 23:19: Rickhenrique: Fair, but
- The whole thing with Athletic Doctor is mostly featuring Witch Doctor and Athletic Theme together
- 23:19: Rickhenrique: While MBM doesnt only reference it's pairing, but also uses the mashup track, the sound effects, and it's visuals
- 23:19: Rickhenrique: I honestly sometimes rarelly notices the usages of the rip itself, so may be wrong about it
- 23:21: Pokemonfreak777: well in any case it seems like discussion has mostly stopped. what points would you like to vote on? also are there any other comments?
- 23:24: Rickhenrique: It would be in points: "Consider making a featuring category for MARIO BROTHERS MOVIE. As well the sound effects and the mashup track ("TiKToK Up the Dancefloor") being under MBM."
- Unless someone has something else to say
- 23:24: Mick the Squirrel: i guess i would rather pipe Whine Up usage to a MBM category
- 23:24: Mick the Squirrel: that is my gut thought
- 23:24: Mick the Squirrel: whenever i listen to these that always seems like the main theme song
- 23:26: Rickhenrique: My counterpoint is that it's uses sometimes as a solo track than using mostly for MBM
- 23:27: Mick the Squirrel: i just dont think theres much you can say about whine up without talkign about mario
- 23:27: Rickhenrique: In which in theory would be mbm
- But theres times that doesnt directly referenced
- 23:27: Pokemonfreak777: [in reply to: Rickhenrique: It would be in points: "Consider making a featuring category for MARIO BROTHERS MOVIE. As well the sound effects and the mashup track ("TiKToK Up the D...]
We will make a category for "Rips featuring MARIO BROTHERS MOVIE". The category will include usages of sound effects from the video, the video's visuals, and of the mashup "TiKToK Up the Dancefloor".
- slightly reworded, would this work?
- 23:27: Rickhenrique: [in reply to: Pokemonfreak777: > We will make a category for "Rips featuring MARIO BROTHERS MOVIE". The category will include usages of sound effects from the video, the video's visuals, an...] Yes, also add the visuals mention
- 23:27: Rickhenrique: Since it's also references too
- 23:28: TurretBot: i mean, is this a notable trend on the channel? probably yeah
- but the article is bad, the list of appearances is sorted in a misleading way that looks more like a bunch of disconnected sources [same problem i said regarding nicolas cage], the category name is probably semantically wrong(?), and references to it are kind of impossible to determine because it's based on ripper intent.
- the only thing i agree with is the first sentence
- 23:28: Pokemonfreak777: [in reply to: Rickhenrique: Yes, also add the visuals mention] edited
- 23:29: Rickhenrique: [in reply to: TurretBot: i mean, is this a notable trend on the channel? probably yeah but the article is bad, the list of appearances is sorted in a misleading way that looks more like a bunch of ...] We can figure it out in regards of the category + page in case it's valid honestly
- For the rest, yeah, I can agreed
- 23:29: Airy342: [in reply to: TurretBot: i mean, is this a notable trend on the channel? probably yeah but the article is bad, the list of appearances is sorted in a misleading way that looks more like a bunch of ...] jts very notable
- 23:29: Rickhenrique: But it's the maxinum we can theorize/guess on it about
- 23:29: Rickhenrique: [in reply to: Airy342: jts very notable] That too
- 23:30: Mick the Squirrel: [in reply to: TurretBot: i mean, is this a notable trend on the channel? probably yeah but the article is bad, the list of appearances is sorted in a misleading way that looks more like a bunch of ...] a list sorting by source instead of by rip is just the category standard
- listing all the rips with jokes next to them would technically be a joke list, but it would make for a much longer and jarring page
- 23:30: Mick the Squirrel: if you want to know jokes by rip that is what the pages are for
- 23:31: Rickhenrique: Then that's more about the whole joke list problem than anything
- 23:31: TurretBot: should there even be a list on the category, then?
- 23:31: Rickhenrique: I just made it in some way like with the other lists for the category
- 23:31: Rickhenrique: But I think were going off topic here
- 23:31: Rickhenrique: Is better to think that as a separate topic
- 23:32: Mick the Squirrel: [in reply to: TurretBot: should there even be a list on the category, then?] relocating the list back to LOSFIR pages would make it a more difficult task for the reader
- having it on the meme page would look weird
- 23:32: Mick the Squirrel: the category page is for the dataheads, the meme page is for the storyheads
- 23:33: Pokemonfreak777: depends on what we are going for with the category. if we want a rips featuring category, then the lists probably arent necessary. if we wanted a rips referencing category, then i think a list like that would be helpful, but could be better organized i guess?
- 23:34: Rickhenrique: Yeah likely
- Is more the same thing with the others categories
- 23:34: Rickhenrique: Again, is best to discuss this as a separate topic about the organization
- 23:34: Rickhenrique: Despite this, I agreed
- 23:35: TurretBot: [in reply to: Pokemonfreak777: depends on what we are going for with the category. if we want a rips featuring category, then the lists probably arent necessary. if we wanted a rips referencing ...] having no list would be better if i'm being honest
- 23:36: Pokemonfreak777: ok i guess the vote will be about making "MARIO BROTHERS MOVIE" a traditional meme category then?
- 23:36: Rickhenrique: Yes
- 23:36: Pokemonfreak777: if theres no other opinions, ill start the vote in a bit
- 23:37: Mick the Squirrel: so regardless, we agree on it being documented?
- 23:37: Rickhenrique: Yes
- 23:37: Pokemonfreak777: thats what we are voting on, yes
- 23:37: Mick the Squirrel: if that is the case
for Meme Article + Rips Featuring /
for Rips Referencing would be a faster method of voting
- 23:38: TurretBot: the actual difference in outcome besides category name should be pointed out for clarity
- 23:38: Pokemonfreak777: [in reply to: Mick the Squirrel: if that is the case
for Meme Article + Rips Featuring /
for Rips Referencing would be a faster method of voting] oh that wasnt part of the vote but could be added
- 23:39: Rickhenrique: Ehhhhh no, considering the usage
- But sure ig
- 23:39: Rickhenrique: But better after bein approved
- 23:41: Pokemonfreak777: vote (if you want a rips referencing category, vote oppose on the second point.)
1. We will make a category for "MARIO BROTHERS MOVIE". The category will include usages of sound effects from the video, the video's visuals, and of the mashup "TiKToK Up the Dancefloor". 2. We will make the category a "Rips featuring...".
- Please vote for each topic.

TurretBot - Add a warning template for ongoing channel events, similar to WP:Wikipedia:Current event templates (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Current_event_templates)
- 23:46: TurretBot: pewdiepie is next
- 23:46: Rickhenrique: Anyways, Im gonna be unactive for the rest of the moot after the vote (on mbm)
- Thanks for the discussion on mbm!
- it would just be a warning template that says something like "This article covers a channel event that is currently ongoing. Information may be out of date as new content is released."
- 23:47: TurretBot: i don't have a preference on how it should be themed (i.e. the image and funny meme text), so any ideas there would be good
- 23:48: Mick the Squirrel: ccc thumbnail
- 23:48: Mick the Squirrel: that joke will be outdated in four months
- 23:48: TurretBot: [in reply to: TurretBot: i think this is self explanatory. it would just be a warning template that says something like "This article covers a channel event that is currently ongoing. Information ma...] okay, to be specific, this would be added to the top of new event pages until the event is over, and then it would be removed
- 23:49: Pokemonfreak777: [in reply to: TurretBot: i think this is self explanatory. it would just be a warning template that says something like "This article covers a channel event that is currently ongoing. Information ma...] hmm, i never really thought about this, but looking at the template it does make sense to include one
- 23:49: Mick the Squirrel: this is harmless flavortext, i agree. though it could be expanded beyond events
- 23:49: Mick the Squirrel: just be vague and say "this subject" instead of event
- 23:49: TurretBot: i'm not sure what other context it would make sense for but we could add a switch to generify it
- 23:50: Mick the Squirrel: game playlists if they decide to spam something
- 23:50: TurretBot: i guess seasons but they are technically events(?)
- 23:50: Pokemonfreak777: [in reply to: Mick the Squirrel: game playlists if they decide to spam something] im not sure it would work as well on a game playlist tbh
- 23:51: Pokemonfreak777: [in reply to: TurretBot: i guess seasons but they are technically events(?)] seasons might be too broad to put this on
- 23:51: Mick the Squirrel: eh it wouldnt be up that long (replying to pokemonfreak game playlist statement)
- 23:51: Mick the Squirrel: seasons should be in a separate category but that is off topic
- 23:51: TurretBot: seasons might be a bad idea because they are "ongoing" for approx. a year
- 23:52: Mick the Squirrel: that would be unsatisfying on season pages because its always in use
- 23:52: Mick the Squirrel: except for january sometimes
- 23:53: Pokemonfreak777: funnily enough, this might make some sense to put on rip articles during events, but i think there probably is a better option out there
- 23:56: TurretBot: So there might be two forms of this:
- Main:
- This article covers a channel event that is currently ongoing. Information may be out of date as new content is released.
- On certain related things:
- This list/section is being effected by [channel event name], which is currently ongoing. Information may be out of date as new content is released.
- 23:56: Mick the Squirrel: thats good sure
- 23:56: Mick the Squirrel: vote?
- 23:57: Pokemonfreak777: so would this be one template that can be switched to or two separate but similar templates?
- 23:58: TurretBot: hmmm
- 23:58: Mick the Squirrel: one
- 23:58: Mick the Squirrel: keep it simple
- 23:58: Pokemonfreak777: ok
- 23:58: Pokemonfreak777: ill start the vote in a bit
- 0:00: TurretBot: Maybe the flavor text can be THE EXCITEMENT IS ETERNAL
- 0:01: Pokemonfreak777: vote
We will add Wikipedia's "Current event template" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Current_event_templates) to the wiki, to be added to ongoing channel events pages

- 0:08: Airy342: sml deletion should already count
- 0:08: Pokemonfreak777: [in reply to: Mick the Squirrel: that was serious] ...you want to lower event criteria to 3 rips, when theres already a huge issue with it being at 4 rips?
- 0:09: TurretBot: regarding the event criteria, it should probably be changed so that it can only count from 4 rips alone if the date is relevant
- 0:09: TurretBot: or, really, clarified, since i think that's already true for all intents and purposes
- 0:09: TurretBot: there can still be events where the date isn't relevant, but the threshold should be higher
- 0:09: TurretBot: if that stipulation was added, we could also consider 3 rips to page
- 0:11: Pokemonfreak777: honestly i think the minimum should be 5. i had initially thought that until i was informed that it had always been 4
- 0:11: TurretBot: i could be convinced
- 0:12: Mick the Squirrel: it should be case by case i feel
- and in these three cases they all make sense
- 0:12: TurretBot: i am sort of neutral on the exact number thresholds, but i think we're missing a distinction in the criteria
- 0:12: Mick the Squirrel: what events are being disputed anyway?
- 0:12: TurretBot: well, all events that have exactly 4 rips, apparently
- 0:14: TurretBot: [in reply to: TurretBot: i am sort of neutral on the exact number thresholds, but i think we're missing a distinction in the criteria] also, there's nothing regarding Umi's Birthday and 9+10 Event situations,
- 0:14: Pokemonfreak777: [in reply to: TurretBot: i am sort of neutral on the exact number thresholds, but i think we're missing a distinction in the criteria] iirc we had a draft somewhere attempting to establish that. not sure where it is though

- 0:15: Mick the Squirrel: what day was that

- 0:15: Mick the Squirrel: this case i don't agree with
- 0:17: TurretBot: [in reply to: Mick the Squirrel: it should be case by case i feel and in these three cases they all make sense] what does "case by case" mean if not "has to be decided in a moot"
- if we don't have a criteria and don't limit it to moots, people will make stupid pages like puppy monkey daybe
- i guess you could make the argument that it is easier to just delete stupid pages than it is to decide on a strict criteria
- 0:17: Airy342: dont call that page stupid thats my baby
- 0:17: Pokemonfreak777: i honestly feel like this topic should be discussed with more people present. it feels like a bigger topic than can be resolved in whatever amount of time we have left
- 0:18: Mick the Squirrel: okay bad unscripted discussion idea
- 0:18: Pokemonfreak777: but feel free to make it scripted (add it to the moot list)
