Skrillex (real name Sonny John Moore) is an American DJ and music producer.[1] He is also a meme on the SiIvaGunner channel.
Overview
Skrillex would begin his music career in 2004 where he was lead vocalist on the band From First to Last. He would leave the band in 2007 to pursue a solo career. In 2009, he would start preforming under the name Skrillex and would release his first EP My Name Is Skrillex the next year.
This was followed by with his albums Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites and More Monsters and Sprites. Both of these albums would receive moderate commercial success. He would continue to make music and would receive many rewards for his music. He has won nine Grammy Awards.
Rips
The first rip to feature a Skrillex song was "Fallen Down - Undertale" on March 16, 2016. Since this rip, he has appeared in many rips throughout the channel's history. Although many of his songs have been featured on the channel, three of them have much more usage than the others.
Bangarang
"Bangarang" was released as a single by Skrillex alongside his album of the same name. It is one of his most successful songs. On the SiIvaGunner channel, this is the most used song by Skrillex, with it being in over 100 rips. The song itself is mainly used within many mashup rips during Season 1. The song would eventually become less frequent over the years.
Kyoto
"Kyoto" is another song by Skrillex from his album Bangarang. The song is used similarly to "Bangarang", though is in considerably less rips.
Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites
"Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites" was released on October 22, 2010 alongside Skrilex's EP of the same name. The song is used more sparingly compared to "Bangarang" and "Kyoto". Unlike his other songs, this song would be mainly used within melody changes.
Skrillex would see a minor resurgence during Season 6. He would also be frequently referenced during the 4/20 2024 channel event. One of the most popular videos on the channel ("sans. - Undertale") features various songs by him.
