Albert Softie is a mashup artist and a contributor to the SiIvaGunner channel.
Contributions
The earliest known rip credited to Albert Softie is "Uncontrollable (Alternate Mix) - Xenoblade Chronicles X", which was uploaded to GiIvaSunner on January 19, 2016, and he contributed to at least 3 other rips on the original GiIvaSunner channel. None of his rips were reuploaded to SiIvaGunner after the GiIvaSunner Termination, but he reuploaded them to his own channel.[1] The rip "Backside Of The TV (Lotus Juice Remix) ~Long Mix~ - Persona 4: Dancing All Night" on April 15, 2016 was Albert's final direct contribution, and his only contribution to SiIvaGunner, until "God Rest Ye, Deadly Gentlemen - Rise of the Triad" was uploaded on December 23, 2020. Since the 2020 rip, he has been contributing regularly to the channel again.
"Onii-Chan" jokes
On May 22, 2016, the stream "Let's Play: 7 Grand Dad - Episode 1" featured a clip from the anime Pupa, of a girl eating her brother's flesh. An edit of "Careless Whisper" was played in the background of this stream. The rip was put on GilvaSunner's Highest Quality Video Game Rips: Volume 3 & Knigra as "Onii-Chan...", falsely credited to Albert Softie.[2] A few later albums would reference this, including:
- 7 Somari Dad: "Planet Onii-Chan", credited to Albert Softie.
- GilvaSunner's Highest Quality Video Game Rips: Volume 6.66: "Onii-Nut...", credited to Al Hardman.
- GilvaSunner's Highest Quality Video Game Rips: Volume 7: Part mm2wood: "Even though I love you more than anyone else, Onii-chan...", credited to Steaming Softie.
- SiIvaGunner's Highest Quality Rips: Volume Sapphire: "Onii-Butt...", credited to Al Sneed.
- The Joke-Explainer™ 7000's Highest Quality Rips: Sunrise: As a reversal of the joke, "Yummy-Chan...", a rip actually by Albert Softie, is credited to turdl0.
Several releases of other "Careless Whisper" rips, particularly the ones from the Albert Softie's Birthday event and Your Onii-Chan's Favorite Rips! album, also reference the livestream by having "onii-chan" in the title, but the false crediting joke isn't referenced outside of those tracks. Your Onii-Chan's Favorite Rips! also released all of the aforementioned tracks up to that point with their true credits.
